CMS and PeopleSoft Support

What is CMS?

Common Management Systems (CMS) is our enterprise implementation of PeopleSoft Financials, PeopleSoft Human Resources, and PeopleSoft Student Administration.  All 23 California State Universities and the Chancellor's Office use PeopleSoft and are hosted in an environment with shared hardware and support.  CMS consists of:
1)  Common Financial System (CFS) - Cal Poly Financials
2)  Human Capital Management (HCM) - Cal Poly Human Resources, Payroll, and Student applications 

What's New?

CMS/PeopleSoft HCM Outage May 17 5:00 PM through May 23 8:00 AM

Beginning Thursday, May 17 at 5:00 p.m., PeopleSoft HCM (Student & HR Administration) will undergo a major systems upgrade. This will affect various campus administrative services such as Employee and Student Self Service, Enrollment Registration, Admissions, Degree Progress Reports, Financial Aid, Student Finance, Student Payroll System, Human Resources, and Temporary Faculty Processing. During the upgrade, the PeopleSoft HCM system will be unavailable. We expect it to be back up no later than Wednesday, May 23 at 8:00 a.m. This upgrade is required to maintain vendor support of our applications and improve reliability of the system. During this outage period, the Common Financials System (CFS) will remain available.  PolyData (Data Warehouse) will remain available throughout the outage with PeopleSoft HCM data as of May 16th at 7:00 pm. 

Who do I contact for CMS Support?

The ITS Service Desk provides support for CMS, the My Cal Poly Portal, Cal Poly CMS Windows Terminal Services (CMS-WTS), and PolyData Dashboards/Data Warehouse applications.  You can also contact the individual CMS Departments listed below for questions specific to their areas.

Regular Support Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Limited after hours support is provided by the ITS Operations Center: 805.756.7000, option 0.
